Dry eye results due to inappropriate secretion of tears &/or extra evaporation of tears, which results in disturbance of the Tear Film. It is a fairly common condition which requires timely diagnosis for better treatment.

In majority of cases, an important cause is Meibomian Gland Dysfunction popularly known as MGD, which is aggravated by Increased Screen Time ( Digital Eye Strain ) on as well. This causes an increased evaporation of Tears.
